William "Bill" Brown of South Philadelphia peacefully passed away on April 14, 2022, at home. He was 79.
Born January 1, 1943 to the late Myer and Barbara (nee: Kelly) Brown. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Trudy (nee: Palmer). Beloved father of Kelliann, Michael and the late Stephanie Lynn. Greatly missed by his grandchildren especially Alexa Kristine and Isaac Lynn. Also missed by Megan Scheffler whom he looked at as his own daughter.
Bill was a lifelong Phillies fan who greatly respected the National League which until recently he called "real baseball." He loved to take trips to Ocean City, New Jersey and spend time with family on the boardwalk. Most years, on Easter weekend, he would make the trip just to purchase the tickets for the rides at half price.
Bill had a sarcastic and witty sense of humor that left people either laughing or puzzled.
His family will greet friends on Friday at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 3rd & Wolf Sts.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Katie Kirlin Fund.
