Wasyl J. Hrynczyszyn, also known as 'Bill' to his many friends, passed suddenly on May 11th 2020; he was 72 years of age
Born to John and Olga (nee Sczerbak) Hrynczyszyn, he was a life long resident of Philadelphia. He served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army and upon his return, began his career as a Police Officer with the Philadelphia Police Department. After his retirement, he went on to work with the Philadelphia School District in their Security Department.
Wasyl was predeceased in death by his brothers Sam Hrynczyszyn and Fred Hrynczyszyn. He is survived by his sisters Mary Rybak and Jennie Feyt and by his brothers; John Hrynczyszyn; Mike Hrynczyszyn; and Pete Hrynczyszyn.
Bill's family will greet friends on Friday, November 13, 2020, at 9 AM at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Requiem Services will be sung at 10 AM. Military Honors followed by Committal Prayers will be at St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Elkins Park, PA.
