Walter Szurpeta

  I am heart broken to announce the passing of our father Walt Szurpeta, who died on May 21, 2023 at the age of 64.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

  While Walt left us so unexpectedly he  made an incredible impact on his family and close friends.  We will forever hold our memories of him in our hearts.  Walt showed his family the importance of  having dedication and a strong work ethic by his forty year work history with Nabisco. 

  However, my dad loved to live his life to the fullest going on vacations, riding the tallest roller coasters, or was planning his next adventure.  He always cherished his time spent with his family and those he loved.

  He was a loving dedicated grandfather of Vincent, Liam and Kolton, who never missed an event of theirs. Walt is survived by his Wife Lorraine, two children Katrina (Cory) and Keith (Corinne), three grandchildren Vincent, Liam, and Kolton, and his brothers Michael, and Steve and his sister Diane (Igor).  Walt is predeceased by his parents Michael and Elfriede and his sister Mary Ann.

  Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday at 10 AM at the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home.  Requiem Services will be held at 12 noon.  

  In lieu of flowers, donations in Walt's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
