Walter Babych

Walter Babych, a longtime resident of Philadelphia, passed away on July 2, 2025. He was 77. 

Born in Germany, Walter was the son of late Petro and Nadia (Danylianko) Babych.  He is predeceased by his loving wife, Oksana Babych.  He is survived by his sister, Zinaida Grechniw; sister-in-law Zwenyslawa with her husband Andrij Prociuk; brother-in-law Arkadij with his wife Julieta (Luba) Fedkiw.

Walter graduated from Olney High School. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from LaSalle University and Master’s Degree from Duquesne University.

Walter spent over 30 years working at the US Navy Defense Logistics Agency before retiring in November, 2021.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Requiem Services on Tuesday at 11 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church, Jenkintown, PA.  Committal Prayers will follow at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
