Viktor Leonidovych Lukashchuk, 56, of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away on January 22, 2022.
Viktor was born in Lviv, Ukraine to Leonid and Lyudmyla Lukashchuk on January 31, 1965. He graduated from Lviv Polytechnic National University with a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering in 1990.
Viktor met Olena of the Zabrodska family in 1988 and they married in 1990. Viktor and Olena worked together for the Galinstrah Insurance Company in Lviv before moving to Philadelphia in 1999. There, they had two children, Daniel and Andrew.
Viktor graduated from the Orleans Technical Institute with a specialty in Heaters, Ventilators, and Air-Conditioners in 2002 and began working at La Salle University. Viktor continued his education and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Eastern European Studies from La Salle University in 2018.
Viktor was a very loving and caring father and husband who loved to ski, bike, and take long walks in the park with his whole family. He enjoyed traveling and going to various concerts and shows with his wife and friends.
Viktor was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother, Oleksiy Lukashchuk. He is survived by his wife, Olena Lukashchuk, his two children, Daniel and Andrew Lukashchuk, and his brother, Serhiy Lukashchuk.
Service will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church on Saturday, January 29 at 1:00 p.m. This will be followed by a memorial reception at 3:00 p.m.
