Obituary
On February 3, 2022, Tillie Onuskanych passed away at 90 years old, born to her parents John and Mary Moskwiak who were Ukrainian immigrants. She retired from the Philadelphia Public School District where she worked in the Auditing Department.
She married her husband Michael (deceased) of 36 years in 1952. Although quiet and humble, she was quick witted and told you like it is (no sugarcoating). Tillie enjoyed needle pointing , cooking Pierogies, Holopchi (Ukrainian cabbage rolls); especially baking Torts.
She passed at home with her family by her side after a battle with congestive heart failure. She will be missed, forever remembered, and eternally loved by her five sons, Michael (Peggy deceased), Stephen (Lana), John (deceased), Nicholas (Lauren) and Walter; grandchildren, Brian (Chrissy), Joe (Courtney), Kevin, Switlana (Michael), Alex, Natalia (Tim), Evan, Megan, Brooke and Madison; great-grandchildren, Brian II, Paislee, Mayetta, Natasha, Skylar, Riley, Izabella, Rhea; great-great grandchild; Brian III.
Services for Tillie will be at Annunciation BVM Ukrainian Catholic Church, Melrose Park, PA. Visitation from 9 to 9:50 AM. Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
