Tamara Zacharkiw

Tamara, a resident of Middletown, Delaware died Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the age of 92. She was born in Zaporizhzhia to Petro and Domna (Dorogan) Huzva.
She emigrated to Baltimore, MD with her husband, Jaroslaw, and oldest son, Stephan to the United States from Germany after World War II. The family later settled in Chester, PA and eventually moved to Aston, PA.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jaroslaw; sister, Helena Luczak; son, George; daughter-in-law, Sheryl; grandson, Sean. She was married for 65 years.
She is survived by son, Stephan (Charlene); son, Peter (Alison); daughter-in-law, Susan; brother, Anatol Huzva; sister, Valentina Jarosiewicz; Grandchildren Stephan D., Meghan, David, Cody, Krysta and Jonathan. She is survived by 10 great grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. She also is survived by many dear friends who loved her.
She worked in various businesses, but mostly cherished raising her three sons and being a homemaker.
She enjoyed making ceramics, embroidering, knitting, and crocheting. She did not do any of this for herself, but did it to give to her church and those less fortunate.
She had a heart of gold and would help anyone. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was deeply loved in kind. The love she poured out on her family and friends will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at Parkview Nursing Home for their compassionate and loving care of Tamara in her final days.
Tamara's viewing will be held on Monday at 10 AM at St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Memorial Church, South Boundbrook, NJ. Requiem Services will be sung at 11 AM. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery.
