Rita I. Bosi

Rita I. Bosi, a resident of Northeast Philadelphia since 1970, died at her home on Monday, August 17, 2026.  She was 88.

Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Rita was the daughter of the late Leone and Natalia (Zincone) Cattolico.  She was a graduate of John W. Hallahan High School for Girls. 

She married Frederick J. Bosi in 1960 and together they raised their family of four boys.  Fred died in 2016.

She is survived by her sons: Dr. John Bosi (Christina), Leone Bosi (Cathy), Fred Bosi (Tracy) and Michael Bosi; she is also survived by her grandchildren: Andrew, Luke and Jack; her sister-in-law, Frances (Bosi) DiPietro; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her brother, Anthony Cattolico (the late Isabelle).

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday at 9 AM at Maternity BVM Church.  Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM.  Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
