Richard W. Craig went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. He was born in Philadelphia on May 29, 1939 and graduated from Jenkintown High School in 1957. Richard was a sports fanatic and led their basketball team to the State Championship in 1956. He was also the class Vice President and was inducted into the Jenkintown High School Hall of Fame in 2010.
After high school he attended Drexel University and graduated in 1962 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was an active member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity while at Drexel. He began his career with Westinghouse and then spent many years with Maxon Corporation.
He met his wife, Patsy (Hummel) while singing with the Centennial Singers, and they were married on October 13, 1990. Richard was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Rhawnhurst; serving on Vestry, ushering, singing in the choir and assisting during services as a liturgist. He and Patsy started the Saints and Sinners Fellowship Group at All Saints for the enjoyment of the parish family and friends. In addition to his wife Patsy of 29 years, Richard is survived by his extended family and friends.
Richard truly touched the lives of every person who came into his life- with his sense of humor, humility, and genuine caring for all. God has called Richard home, but he will remain in our hearts forever.
