Peter Paskiewicz, a resident of North East Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 26, 2022. He was 79.
Born in Philadelphia, Pete was a son of the late Peter and Joan (Matkowski) Paskiewicz. He was born and raised in the Society Hill section of the city and attended Old St. Joseph's Elementary School while a member of St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Pete joined the United States Air Force in 1963 and was stationed at Fort MacArthur Air Base in San Pedro, California; he served with the 670th Radar Squadron and was discharged with the rank of Airman 3rd Class.
Pete was employed as a medical clerk with the United States Veterans Administration Hospitals and spent the majority of his career at the Miami Medical Center before retiring.
Pete is survived by his sister, Gloria Paskiewicz and his brother, George Paskiewicz and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10 AM at Maternity BVM Roman Catholic Church.
Committal will follow at a later date.
