Perumpallikattu (Raju) Mathew Kuruvilla

In Loving Memory Of   Mr. Perumpallikattu Mathew Kuruvilla          May -20, 1945 – June - 08, 2023

  Mr. Perumpallikattu Mathew Kuruvilla (Raju), was born in Thiruvalla on May 20, 1945.  He was the eldest of 8 children born to late P. Kuruvilla Mathew and Annama Mathew.  He was raised in a God fearing and loving family.  He accepted Christ at an early age and devoted his time to God. 

  His thirst for reading and studying Bible was remarkable.  He was a member of Jerusalem Marthoma Church in Kottayam Kerala.  In Philadelphia, he was a member of Christos  Marthoma Church.

  After finishing his high school education, he started working at Kerala Water Authority, Perumbavoor, after his father’s demise.  He joined the Indian Army in 1963.  After 20 years he took an early retirement in 1983 to spend time with his family.  He migrated to the United States in 1993.

 On September 18, 1975, he married Gracy Kuruvilla and they were blessed with  children: Jiju Kuruvilla, Sherin Kuruvilla (DIL), Jinu Kuruvilla, and Shalini Jinu (DIL).  They were further blessed with grand children; Jewel, Jiya, Jaylon, Joshua and Josiah. 

  He will always be remembered for his great love for his family and friends.  His happiness and hospitality when family visited was generous.  He loved God and attended Holy Qurbana whenever possible.  He enjoyed spending time with us, socializing, gardening, and sports.  We will never forget his sense of humor.

  “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
