Mr. Palacheril John John dearly known as Thampu was born on October 21, 1949, in Vellikkara Palacheril House, Kavungumprayar, Puramattom, Thiruvalla, Kerala. He was the son of Late Mr. Itty John and Late Mrs. Mariamma John. He was a caring son, loving brother, devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and a strong follower of Christ.
On April 17, 1978, he married Mrs. Mariamma John (Moni) of Nellimela Puthuparambil House, Kumbanad, Kerala. Together they raised three children, Jeffie, Jettie, and Joffie. Thampu migrated to U.S. in 1983 with his wife and eldest son. Throughout his career, he worked as a machine operator in various companies.
Thampu was the seventh among his siblings, a beloved brother to Late Mr. P.J. Itty and Mrs. Aleyamma Itty, Late Mrs. Saramma Thomas and Mr. K.M. Thomas, Late Mr. P. J. Joseph and Mrs. Rachel Joseph, Mrs. Achamma George and Mr. V.C. George, Late Mr. P.J. Philip and Late Mrs. Aleyamma Philip, Mr. P.J. Varughese and Mrs. Amminiamma Varughese, and Mr. Raju John and Mrs. Annamma Raju. He was also a loving uncle and great-uncle to many caring nieces and nephews, as well as a loving cousin to many.
Thampu was an active member at Bethel Mar Thoma Church and recently became a member at Christos Mar Thoma Church. His faith was a guiding light in his life, and he served with humility, grace, and quiet strength.
Thampu is survived by his wife Moni with whom he shared 47 years of marriage, their son Jeffie and his wife Nisha, daughter Jettie and her husband Jenson, and son Joffie and his wife Shruthi as well as his 6 grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Olivia John, Quinn Jose, Peyton John, Caden Jose, Hannah Jose, and Micah John.
Thampu will always be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family, always putting them first with a heart full of care. His great sense of humor and simple, joyful spirit brought warmth and laughter to everyone around him.
