Olha Holub, a long time resident of Philadelphia, died Friday, October 15, 2021. She was 98. Born in Lviv, Ukraine, Olha was the daughter of the late Mychajlo and Melania (Maksymkiw) Stasyszyn.
She emigrated to the United States in the early 1960's and was married on June 12, 1965 at Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church to Stefan Holub. She became a naturalized citizen in 1996.
Olha is predeceased by her husband Stefan (he died in 2015) and her sisters, Halia Iwasinski and Christine Dubenko.
She is survived by her nephews and niece: Roman Dubenko and his wife Lola, Zorian Dubenko and his wife Halya and Christine (Anya) Iwasinski; her great-nieces and nephews: Stephen, Christina, Lesia, Melanie, Maria, Michael, Daniel, Adrianna and Natalie; and her great-great niece and nephews: Michael (Sonny) Massa, Ezra Zelek, Julian Sus and Kristina Sus.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday at 9 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church, Jenkintown, PA. Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Elkins Park, PA.
