Olena Prasicky

Olena Prasicky, age 85, died on December 14, 2019.  

Olena is survived by her husband Anatol Prasicky; her son Oleg Prasicky (Katherine); her daughter Olena Hryciw (Roman); and her grandsons, Dmytriy and Demyan Hryciw.

Olena was born in Sokal, Ukraine, to parents Ivan and Anna (Hryniuk) Bohachevsky.  She graduated from Manor Junior College and accepted a position as a teacher at St. Basil's Elementary School where she worked for more than 24 years.  She married Anatol Prasicky in 1955.

She was a social, active woman who was involved in Plast (Chortopolokhy) for the majority of her life.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church, Jenkintown, PA.  Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:30 AM with interment to follow at St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Elkins Park, PA.  Rev. Volodymyr Kostyuk will officiate.
