It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Mykhaylo Kuzo, avid news junkie, self-described political strategist and dominoes aficionado on January 31, 2020 at the age of 89.
Born in Ukraine in October of 1930 to a large family of 3 brothers and 5 sisters, Mykhaylo was a mechanical engineer by trade. Never one to be idle, Mykhaylo enjoyed his weekend trips to the farmer market, walking down the Svoboda Avenue and eating at his favorite pizza shop in Lviv. His faith was a cornerstone of his life.
Mykhaylo came to the United States with Paraskeviya, his wife of 53 years, to spend the twilight of their years with their two daughters, Natalia and Iryna and their grandson Vlad.
He lived a full life surrounded by family and friends. His love affair with ice cream and Natalia’s homemade waffles was not to be rivaled. His favorite place was Cape May, getting up at dawn and walking along the beach. Wawa was his choice for coffee.
But above all he was a fighter, a man of indomitable spirit who never gave up. We were blessed to have him in our lives and we will carry his memory with us always.
His family will greet friends on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church. Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. After the celebration of the Liturgy, the family asks that you join them for a memorial lunch in Mykhaylo's honor.
