Matthias Binder (Matt), born on February 25, 1932, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on August 11, 2020, at the age of 88. He was born in Franzfeld, Yugoslavia and moved to the United States in 1956 where he lived in Pennsylvania and Arizona. He was currently living at The Philadelphia Protestant Home in Philadelphia with his wife Dorothea.
Matt enjoyed spending time with his family, wife Dorothea, son Michael Binder (Mary) daughter Heidi Binder, and daughter Sylvia Nazar (Bob), grandsons Chris Langlois (Carolyn), Andrew Langlois (Steph), Matt Langlois, Anthony Nazar (Lilly), and granddaughters Natalie Binder (Tim) & Jessica Carrasso (Matt) and his great grandchildren Abigail, Nathan, Sean, Dylan, Ryan and Oliver.
Matt was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather (Opa) and great grandfather. He will always have a special place in our heart.
He worked as a butcher and retired from Dietz and Watson in 1994. He raised his family in PA and retired in AZ for 22 years and returned to PA for his family to assist in his daily care. He had a passion for dancing (that is how he met his wife) and danced with his daughters and granddaughters.
Due to the Covid pandemic, services will be held privately.
