Mary Ann (Betty) E. Dwyer

Mary Ann (Betty) Dwyer passed peacefully in her sleep on January 14, 2023 at the age of 86. She was born and resided in Philadelphia her entire life. She graduated from Gratz High School in 1952. She worked for many years at Goodwill Industries, and then at the family-owned S & S Hardware Store in Frankford before she retired.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Szczypiorski, her stepfather Edward Szczypiorski and her brother Stephen Dwyer (Butch). She is survived by her siblings Elayne Pietkowski (Dwyer), Jennifer Sanford (Szczypiorski) and her brother Edward Szczypiorski and her many nieces and nephews.

Betty enjoyed music and was an avid record collector through the years, with one of her favorites being Elvis Presley. Many summers, Betty would travel to Atlantic City and Ocean City to spend time at the beach and boardwalk.

A brief Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church, 1773 Woodbourne Road, Levittown, PA 19057. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
