Mary Popelak Obituary

Mary (Massa) Popelak, originally from Cranford, NJ and recently from West Deptford, passed away peacefully on the Fourth of July at the age of ninety-five. Mary was a devout Orthodox Christian. She was known and loved by many who knew her as Gram. She loved traveling, collecting dolls, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.

She is pre-deceased by her husband Michael Popelak and survived by her sister, Elsie Buontempo (Peter), daughter, Maryann Brodie (Paul), son Michael Popelak (Karen), grandchildren Monica DeVito, Andrew DeVito, (Tracy), Michelle Kerper (Patrick), Michael Popelak (Erin), Kristin Popelak, and great-grandchildren Andrew, Nicholas, Dana, Gina, Olivia, Haley, Nate, Madison, Aubrey and Layla.

The viewing will be held at St Stephen Orthodox Cathedral in Philadelphia, PA on Thursday July 9th from 9 to 10am. The funeral and burial services will be held privately for the family due to COVID-19 restrictions.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be made to St. Stephen Orthodox Cathedral, 8598 Verree Road, Philadelphia, PA 19111..
