Martha Matzko

Martha Matzko (nee Patlovich), of Cherry Hill, NJ and formally of East Falls portion of Philadelphia, fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, July 12th 2020.

We are saddened by the passing of our dear parents Martha and Paul Matzko on July 12th and July 13th 2020. Martha and Paul were cared for by their son, John Matzko, their daughter, Kristine Matzko wife of Matthew Bohush, and their granddaughter Mary Vange. Martha and Paul were born in Berwick, PA and lived in East Falls in Philadelphia. Martha (87) and Paul (92) were married for 58 years. Martha and Paul were devout Orthodox Christians and were active members of the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Elkins Park. Paul found passion in his work as a corporate attorney and used his legal expertise to help others. Martha was generous in spirit; she opened up her home to many friends who became family. They created an extraordinary life for themselves, raised a strong family, and supported others. We will remember our parents as devoted souls whose memory will endure forever. We are truly blessed to have had them in our lives.

A funeral service for Martha and Paul will begin 10:00AM following the visitation beginning 11:00AM, at Holy Annunciation Orthodox Church, 1228 2nd Avenue in Berwick, PA, on Monday July 20th 2020.
