Mark J. Bruni of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away on May 19, 2023 at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital. Mark was born in South Philadelphia, PA to Rosalie and Francis Bruni. Mark graduated South Philly High School in 1967 and attended Community College of Philadelphia. Mark followed in his father's footsteps joining the Philadelphia Fire Department and later becoming one of the City of Philadelphia's first Firefighter/Paramedics where he spent 29 years until he retired in 1999.
Mark married Marci Bruni (Sharble) in July 1977 and had 2 daughters; Jennifer in 1979 and Jessica in 1982. Mark enjoyed family vacations down the shore, always looking for a sunset as well as visits to his parents' vacation homes in Eagle Lake and Holly Lake.
After retiring from the Philadelphia Fire Department, Mark took on many other roles until beginning a new career with the Internal Revenue Service in 2010, where he spent 9 years until a second retirement.
Mark loved spending time with his family, immediate and extended. Mark also loved all family pets, including cats and dogs.
Mark is survived by his wife Marci, daughters Jennifer Bruni (son-in-law-to-be Christopher Stolle) and Jessica Heiser (son-in-law Kevin Heiser), grandchildren Kayleigh and Lorenzo Heiser, step-grandchildren Joseph, Jaden and Brandon Stolle, sister Ilene Tiano (brother-in-law Joseph Tiano) and many nieces and nephews as well as cousins.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 from 11AM - 12PM at Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home, 9529 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19115 followed by a 12PM Memorial Service.
