Maria Luszczak, a longtime resident of Huntingdon Valley, PA, died Monday December 22, 2025. She was 95.
Maria was born in the village of Kryve in the Zubroeze region of Ukraine, a daughter of the late Ivan and Anna (Danilovich) Pastuch. During World War 2 she was separated from her mother and taken to Germany for forced labor, not knowing if she would ever see her mother again. Several years later, she was reunited with her mother and her family. After the war, in 1952, she immigrated to the United States and settled in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.
Maria worked for a number of years for Air Shields, in Hatboro, PA, as an assembler of incubators; she later worked for many years at St. Mary's Hospital in Langhorne, PA on the housekeeping staff.
Maria is survived by her children: Myron Luszczak, Jr. and his wife Patricia, Walter Luszczak, Ann Luszczak, Roman Luszczak and Michael Luszczak and his wife Carol; she is also survived by her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren as well as her brothers Petro Pastuch (Yolanda) and Roman Pastuch. She is predeceased by her son Peter and her sister Stefania Poliszczuk and her brothers Nicholas and Stefan Pastuch, and her angel great grandson Michael Louis.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday at 9 AM at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Bristol, PA. Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Lawnview Cemetery.
