Magda Hocynec

Magdalena (Magda) Hocynec, a longtime resident of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022.  She was 96.

Born in Lviv, Ukraine, Magda was the daughter of the late Iwan and Maria (Pluvak) Chudyj.  

She was a supervisor for a meat provisions purveyor for many years before retiring.

The wife of the late Fedor Hocynec (Fedor died in 1997), Magda was the mother of Louis Hocynec and his wife Adelaide and Nadia DiSalvo and her husband Joseph.  She was the grandmother of Paul Hocynec.

Her viewing will be held on Thursday at 10 AM at the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home.  Requiem Services will be sung at 10:30 AM.  Burial will follow at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Elkins Park, PA.
