Kathryn Vassallo Obituary

Kathryn M. Vassallo, 88, a beloved mother and wife, passed away on February 20, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.  Born on December 8, 1936, Kathryn dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her husband Samuel and their five children.

Kathryn's greatest joy came from her family.  She helped raise nieces and nephews by taking them in when one of their parents were ill, ensuring they were part of a loving home.  She gladly took a leave of absence from her job when she first grandchild became ill to help her daughter care for him.  She worked until the age of 71.

She loved her immediate family and her sisters immensely.

She is predeceased by her husband Samuel and her grandson Joseph.  She is survived by her children: Kathryn (John), Stephen, Carol, Patrick (Mary Jean) and Lori (Gary); her grandchildren: Alex, Shane, Evan, Zachary, Amanda, Juliana and Christian; and her great-grandsons Christian and Jackson and she was anxiously awaiting the birth of Vincenzo.

Her family will greet friends of Friday at 9 AM at Saint Hilary of Poitiers Church.  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM.  Inurnment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
