Juri Choma (24 January 1940 – 14 July 2020)
Born in Lviv Ukraine in 1940, Juri came to this country late in the year 1972, with nothing but a check for 100 rubles (that no bank would cash), and no knowledge of the English language, still having a silly accent 47 years later.
During the course of his life he became a General contractor / home builder, building multiple houses in both Philadelphia, and surrounding counties, including 2 homes for himself in Jenkintown and Leighton.
Juri, is survived by his wife Marta (neè Pluwak) of 42 years, and children Marko, Yuri and late son Andrew, along with two children from a previous marriage, Lida and Taras.
Juri was given the chance for a new and better life in this great country, helping and supporting many family members who had joined the migration from Ukraine to America.
