Hildegard “Hilda” Hryniuk (Bohmert), 91, of Fox Chase, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022.
Hilda was born in Volhynia, a German colony of Ukraine. During WWII, the family emigrated to Munich, Germany. After WWII, she married her husband, Grygor Hryniuk. They both emigrated to the United States in October 1951.
She worked at the Land Title Building for over 30 years. Hilda enjoyed gardening, cooking and was an overall hard worker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grygor.
She is survived by her daughter, Helen, her niece, Regina Tylatnyk, her brother, Adie Bohmert and sister, Hedwig Dunzl, of Germany, her cousin, Hilda Glover of Massachusetts and nieces and nephews in Michigan and Germany.
Family and friends are invited to Hildegard’s viewing on Thursday, February 10th, 2022 from 8:30am-9:30am at Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home. Mass at St. Cecilia’s at 10am. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Hildegard’s name to the Tommy Campbell Foundation.
