George Gadach Obituary

George Gadach, a resident of Bensalem for over 40 years, died Thursday, June 30, 2022.  He was 77.

Born in Perlenhaus, Bavaria, Germany, he was the son of the late Paul and Paraskevia (Petryshyn) Gadacz.

George was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many.  He was a Vietnam Veteran in the Army 1st Cavalry Division.  George graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering, and then retired as a Construction Supervisor who led multiple projects building power generation plants, dams, and bridges for PSE&G and United Engineers.  But his most valued title was the family’s personal contractor and laborer.

George was also a member of the Ukrainian-American Veterans of Philadelphia.  He was an active member of the church community and loved making pierogies.  One of his greatest traits was his generosity.  He was always willing to give a helping hand, his time, his knowledgeable advice, and his opinion (whether you wanted it or not).  George will always be remembered for his loud sense of humor, capturing family moments through video and pictures, his moves and splits on the dance floor, and being “lovingly stubborn.” George will be tremendously missed by all, especially his wife, Lesia, and his children, Larisa and Mikey.  He is predeceased by his sisters, Nadia Kuzma and Natalia Lew.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday at 9 AM at St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Bristol, PA.  Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 AM.  Inurnment will take place at a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to: Ukrainian American Veterans, UECC or St. Mary's Church.
