Francis J. Kirschner, III, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Philadelphia Protestant Home were he resided. He was 74.
Francis was born on January 13, 1947 in Philadelphia to the late Francis J., Jr. and Maria (Juzwiak) Kirschner. He attended St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Grade School, and graduated from Roman Catholic High School in 1964.
After graduation, Francis enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Germany with Company C 85th Maintenance Battalion. He was honorably discharged on September 13, 1967.
After the service, Francis joined Bricklayer's Local #1 for an apprenticeship in July of 1969. He became a journeyman and member in good standing for 52 years.
Francis is survived by his brother Dennis Kirschner, sister-in-law Helena (Goldy) Kirschner, nieces Kathleen, Lori (Harrigan) Peacock, nephews Dennis Jr. and Benjamin Peacock, grandniece Madison Peacock and grandnephew Alexander Peacock.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:15 am, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, celebrated by Father Michael Olivere, in St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, 3001 Levick Street, Phila., PA 19149. Interment and Military Honors will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Timothy parish.
