Erna Merrone

Erna Kremer Merrone, 80, of Southampton, PA died on May 8, 2022 after ten years of courageously battling cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Fernando Merrone, Sr. , the Daughter of the late Robert and Helena (Schneider) Kremer. Erna was born on June 25, 1941 in Kaunas, Lithuania. She attended Olney High School, Beauty Academy and was a co-owner of Tanya's Wig Salon. She was later a homemaker for her four children and served as school librarian at Maternity BVM Parish.

Erna dedicated her life and love to her children and grandchildren and especially loved having Oma's six stars. 

Her hobbies ranged from cooking and gardening to knitting, sewing and crocheting.

Erna is survived by three of her siblings: Leo, Norman and Grete; her children: Fernando Merrone, Jr., Tina (Joe), Enrico (Dawn) and Marcello (Jennifer); and her grandchildren: Fernando III, Vincent, Nicholas, Christopher, Molly and Jaxon.

Her family will greet friends on Tuesday at 9:30 AM at Assumption BVM Roman Catholic Church with her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 AM.  Inurnment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. There will be no luncheon following burial but rather a celebration of Erna’s life at a future date.
