Elaine V. (Murray) Woods

Elaine Virginia Woods (nee Murray) was a loving wife (the late Wayne D.), mother, grandmother, sister & friend. She left this world on February 9, 2022 at the age of 80.

She was born to Stanley & Stella Murray on May 29, 1941. She has two younger sisters, Linda & Gerri, with whom she adored & enjoyed spending time. Growing up, her mother taught her to sew & crochet; she enjoyed both well into adulthood.  After graduating from Kensington High School for Girls in January 1959, she started working at Girard Bank. Shortly after, she met the love of her life, Wayne, at a Friday night dance. Together they had four children, Lisa-Jo Woods-Kriss (Mark), Douglas Woods (Nicole), Tracie Libby (the late Scott), and Gail Hair (Timothy). 

After raising her children she worked at Prime Bank for several years until her retirement.  After retiring she enjoyed spending time with her mom & sisters down the shore. Elaine also loved the beach, going shopping, dining out, going to the movies, listening to music & traveling. Her favorite place she traveled to was Poland with her sisters & many cousins. She always said “That was the trip of a lifetime!” 

What Elaine loved most in this world were her grandchildren, (the late) Joshua Woods, Christopher Woods, Megan Woods, Meaghan Kriss, Matthew Hair, Bradley Woods (Morgan), Elaine (Libby) Quaiser (Joseph), Brittany Hair, Laura Kriss, Dakota Libby, Hudson Campagna, and her great grandson, Connor Woods.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service, scheduled for Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home, 9529 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19115. Viewing is from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. Service begins at 11:00 am. Interment immediately following at Forest Hills Cemetery, 101 Byberry Road Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Memorial Church of St. Luke, 1946 Welsh Road, Philadelphia, PA 19115.
