Dolores M. (Duckworth) Albert received her wings on the morning of Wednesday, January 31, 2024. She was born in Philadelphia on March 1, 1933, to the late Walter and Elizabeth (Dintel) Duckworth. Dolores was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her.
She grew up in the Olney Section of Philadelphia, where she graduated from Olney High School. She met the love of her life, the late John Albert, and got married right before he shipped out with the US Navy. They lived in Northeast Philadelphia for many years, and eventually moved to Bucks County, PA.
Dolores was an avid bowler in a league on a weekly basis. She absolutely adored animals and loved to watch Animal Planet. She was also a secretary at both the Naval Depot and Allied Chemical, both located in Philadelphia. Dolores was part of a group called the Willing Workers at St. Mark’s Church, and she also wrote a newsletter called ‘The Barn’ to keep herself busy. She was also the secretary at Point Pleasant Baptist Church. She thoroughly enjoyed doing puzzles- using glue to preserve the ones she treasured. She was also part of the “Red Hats” Ladies Club. One of Dolores’ pride and joys was her only grandchild, Alexa. Her face would light up when she saw her, and that made Dolores genuinely happy. They had many fun outings together while Alexa was growing up. Dolores also enjoyed working in her beautiful garden with her favorite flowers blooming all around.
Dolores is survived by her daughters, Diane Albert and Lynne Albert, son, David Albert (Denise), granddaughter, Alexa, and her sister Gail Claus (Barry).
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11 AM, at Forest Grove Presbyterian Church, 1856 Forest Grove Road, Furlong, PA 18925. Luncheon to follow the service at the church. Interment will be held privately.
