David E. Evans passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 after a long fight with heart and kidney disease. David was born in Norfolk, VA on December 15, 1959, son of the late Robert W. and June (Salneu) Evans. He attended East Stroudsburg University, PA and Upper Dublin High School, Fort Washington, PA.
Most recently he was a Chef for Aramark at the Lincoln Financial Stadium in Philadelphia; following many years at Portsmouth Metal Stamping. He has called Norfolk, VA, Portsmouth, VA, Fort Washington, PA and Philadelphia, PA home through the years.
David was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan, in addition to his passion for running. His college and high school running included cross country, indoor and outdoor track, and his personal specialty, the half-mile event.
He is survived by his children: David Evans and Katie Evans, his siblings: Llyn Evans Carter (Robert) of Philadelphia, PA, Robert W. Evans, II (Cynthia) of Scotch Plains, NJ, Candice Evans Pellechio of Howell, NJ, and four nieces and nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, services and interment will be held privately at the Memorial Church of St. Luke, 1946 Welsh Rd., Phila., PA 19115. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Church of St. Luke or to the National Kidney Foundation.
