Daniel Mis Obituary

Daniel J Mis, a beloved Brother, Uncle, and friend passed away on September 3, 2025 at the age of 71.

Danny was born on September 4, 1953 to Joseph J. Mis and Gertrude D. Mis (Costello) in Philadelphia, PA. Danny grew up on Hurley St with his three siblings Joey Mis, Barbara Mis, and Michael Mis.  He was a proud graduate of Northeast Catholic High School (1971).  He furthered his education at Drexel University where he received his Masters in Engineering.  Following his graduation, Danny worked as an Electrical Engineer at the Cape May Airport until its closure.  Afterwards, he continued working as an electrical engineer with Sperry Univac Corporation/UNYSIS until his retirement. 

Daniel is predeceased by his parents, Joseph J. Mis and Gertrude D. Mis as well as his older brother Joseph T. Mis.  Daniel is survived by his siblings, Barbara Mis and  Michael Mis as well as his nieces Bridget Moore, Meghan Moore and Great Niece, Juliana Grace Rabea. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday at 10 AM at the Reilly-Rakowski Funeral Home.  Prayer Service will begin at 11 AM.  Committal Prayers will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in memory of Dan.
