Daniel Balandovich, a resident of Jenkintown, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022. He was 90.
Born in Centralia, PA, Dan was a son of the late Stephan and Anna (Masinick) Balandovich; he was a 1950 graduate of Cunningham High School and enlisted in the Navy in 1951 where he served as an aircraft mechanic with Patrol Squadron 21. Dan was discharged in 1955.
Dan moved to Philadelphia in 1955 and he married Cleo Honabach in Centralia in 1966.
Dan was a machinist for Standard Press Steel in Jenkintown for many years before retiring.
He is survived by his wife Cleo; his daughters Mary Beth Keating (Steve) and Amie Balandovich; his grandchildren, Rilie and Steven and his sister Mary Theresa Mattu.
Dan's viewing will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at Annunciation BVM Ukrainian Catholic Church. Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 12 noon. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at Lawnview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dan's memory may be made to: United Help Ukraine, International Fund for Animals or World Central Kitchen.
