Charles R. Hunt, Jr.

Charles R. Hunt, Jr. passed away at St Joseph Manor on Friday, August 28, 2026. He was 84.

A lifelong resident of Northeast Philadelphia, Charles was the son of the late Charles R. Hunt, Sr. He was a proud graduate of Father Judge High School and served four years in the United States Navy. Charles then spent over forty years as a custom furniture maker.

Charles was the beloved brother of Phyllis Waibel, uncle of Timothy Waibel (Julie) and Karen Gehring. He is also survived by four great nieces, Amanda and Emily Gehring and Madelyn and Grace Waibel, as well as many cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 9 AM to 9:45 AM at Maternity BVM Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Ave., Phila., PA 19115. Funeral Mass 10 AM. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
