Bohdan 'Bo' Boberskyj died at his residence on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. He was 73.
Born in Regensburg, Germany, he was the son of the late Jurko and Justyna (Romaniak) Boberskyj.
He grew up in the Logan area of Philadelphia and attended St. Basil Elementary School; he was a 1964 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School. He was inducted into the US Army in 1966 and served in Viet Nam with the 1st Armored Division, 19th Artillery, Battery C, 3rd Battalion. He was Honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1968.
Bo was the owner of Hi-Tech Security Systems in Philadelphia for many years; he was also an active member of Rotary International with the Northeast Sunrisers.
He was the beloved husband of Natalie (nee Mandziuk), the loving father of Christine Luzeckyj (Andrew) and Joseph Boberskyj (Stacy) and the doting grandfather of Andrew Jr., Stephanie, Ava and Joseph. He is predeceased by his brother Jerry Boberskyj.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday (Oct. 9, 2020) at 10:30 AM at the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home. Requiem Services will be sung at 12:30 PM. Military Honors will be rendered followed by Committal prayers at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bo's memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
Following the current dictates and recommendations of Philadelphia for Covid-19 precautions, face masks and social distancing guidelines will be in place and followed.
