Bohdan Osyp Anniuk

   It is with a heavy and broken heart that I announce the death of my father, my best friend, and my strength.
  Bohdan Osyp Anniuk passed peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 4:30 PM after a 6-year bout with Lewy Body Disease, the last 2 months of which were terribly difficult.

  Bohdan was born in Tlumach, Ukraine and emigrated to the United States in 1949; they arrived in New York City and traveled to Rockville, MD before coming to Philadelphia.  He was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School and La Salle College.
  My father spent his life as a sportsman and later a pilot; he was a Goal Tender for The Ukrainian Nationals FC and a volleyball player; later in life he played golf, eventually forming The Ukrainian Golf League at Tryzub Sports Club, playing international tournaments in Australia, Ireland, and Prague, Czechoslovakia to name only a few countries.
  My father was predeceased by his father, Yuryj Anniuk, my grandmother, Antonina Anniuk, his aunt Broniaslava Lukowsky, and most dear to his heart, my mother, Helen Barbara Anniuk.
  He is survived by his loving grandson Alexander Dinnerstein and his daughter, Roxana Anniuk.
  Services will be held this Friday, November 18, 2022, St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church; visitation will begin at 10 AM with Requiem Liturgy to begin at 11 AM.  Burial will follow at Lawnview Cemetery. 
  Repast and Celebration of Life at (Time TBD after Burial) Tryzub:Ukrainian American Sports Center

  In lieu of flowers please make donations in my father's name to Tryzub.  I'd like to set up a small scholarship for a deserving and needs-bound youth to continue their education.
