Anna Odoseey (nee Tymrych) peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 202 at the age of 94.
Born in Shandrovets, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine, she was one of three children of Matthew and Maria Tymrych. Both siblings preceded her in death.
Anna met her future husband, Wolodymyr Odoseey (deceased) in Germany and they married during their time in a German displaced persons camp. Not long afterwards, they fled to Belgium where their two children Theodore and Marika were born.
In 1957 the family emigrated to the United States and settled in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia where Olga, their third child was born.
Anna was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church and worked for both Girard College and Mellon Bank as a housekeeper for decades before retiring.
She enjoyed cross-stich embroidery, cooking, baking and gardening. She was particularly happy when she was foraging for mushrooms in upstate Pennsylvania, a skill she honed as a young woman in Ukraine.
For relaxation, she loved to sing her childhood songs, watch comedy and musical movies and spend time with her family and pet friends, Jack and Minky.
Anna will be missed greatly by her daughters Marika Petruse and Olga Klos (Marko), her granddaughter, Sonia Petruse, and her son Theodore Odoseey.
Her body will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Saint Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. Interment will be private for immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Children's Fund.
