Anna Buta Obituary

Anna Buta (nee Kalakuniak) of Warminster,PA, passed away peacefully at Arden Courts in Hatboro on Sunday, August 26, 2018.  She was 95.

She was predeceased by her husband Mykola and son Eugene (+ Katherine).  She is survived by her son Ihor  (Rosemarie) and her grandchildren Suzanne Strauss (Harley), Marybeth Dobrowolski (Steven), Eric Buta and Bradley Buta.  She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

Anna was born July 9, 1923 in Ukraine.  She married Mykola on February 10, 1946.  After several years in Germany and Austria, she immigrated to the United States in 1949 with her husband and her oldest son.  They took up residence in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia where she worked as a seamstress of men's suits for Joseph H. Cohen Co. and Botany 500 until her retirement.

Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday at 8:30 AM at the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home, 9529 Bustleton Avenue.  Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 11 AM at Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church, 17th & Cayuga Sts.  Burial will follow at St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Elkins Park, PA.
