Anna K. Bebian (nee Sigmund) was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully passed into eternal life on September 4, 2021 at the age of 90.
Anna K. Sigmund was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Sigmund. She was born and raised in the Port Richmond area of Philadelphia, where she attended Our Lady Help of Christians Elementary School. Anna was a proud 1950 graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls.
Anna was married to the late George Bebian and is mother to Robert (Betty) and Janet Bebian. She is “Grandmom” to Cheryl (Allen) Zlotnikov, Kelly (Jimmy) Little and Robert (Paula) Bebian. Anna is “Nana” to Joshua and Aiden Zlotnikov, James Little and Adelyn (Addy) Mae Bebian. She is survived by her younger brother Louis (Louie) Sigmund and many nieces, nephews, cousins and Godchildren.
Anna was a long time employee of Wills Eye Hospital. She was a resident of Gloria Dei Estates in Rhawnhurst where she enjoyed singing in the choir, movie/fun nights, and most especially playing Bingo!
Anna was proud of her German heritage and thoroughly enjoyed going to annual Oktoberfest celebrations. She had many loves and interests some of which included live theater, gardening, family pets, daylong road trips (especially to Lancaster), the beach, the mountains, wildlife sightings and of course, Johnny Mathis. The most important matter that was closest to her heart however, was spending time with family and long time friends.
In lieu of flowers, her family kindly requests donations be made in Anna’s memory to:
Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls Music and Theater Department 1000 W. Lycoming Street Philadelphia, PA 19140 (In Memory of: Anna K. (Sigmund) Bebian).
If you would like to honor Anna in a private, personal way, please consider planting a garden, attending a live theater performance, or most importantly sharing time with your family and friends. This is what Anna cherished most in life.
Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday at 10 AM at St. Luke the Evangelist Church. A Mass celebrating her life will be at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
