Alexander Roman Fedorkiw, age 87, passed on January 4, 2026; a long-time resident of Blue Bell, Pa and most recently of Lansdale, Pa. He is survived by his loving wife Vera (Romanyshyn) of 61 years. Beloved father of Christine Prisco (Alfred), Sonia Fusco (Michael), Andrea Torop (Andres) and Adrian Fedorkiw; he was a devoted grandfather to Andrea (fiancé Luke), Elizabeth (Alex), Roman, Christian, Maia and Alex. He was preceded in death by his sister Maria Kondrat (+Petro).
Born on July 24, 1938 in Uzhorod, Ukraine to Andrew and Olha Fedorkiw, Alex immigrated with his family to former Czechoslovakia and then West Germany, before finally traveling to the United States of America in 1950, and settling in Philadelphia.
After high school, Alex attended Spring Garden Institute for electronics and was recruited to work for Burroughs Corporation as a technician for government contracts. He travelled a great deal both nationally and abroad to work at different Air Force sites, installing and maintaining 24/7 computer systems. He worked his way up to a district manager for Burroughs and then Unisys.
Alex had a true passion for fly fishing and enjoyed tying his own fishing flies. He traveled locally and drove out west for his hobby. He especially enjoyed sharing his love of fishing with his son Adrian, his son-in-law Michael, and some of his grandchildren. Alex enjoyed vacationing with his family in Cape May, NJ.
Alex was known for his quirky humor, his love of Philadelphia sports, and his generosity to family. We will miss him.
