Sylvia Onufrey

Sylvia Onufrey feel asleep in the Lord on March 6th 2018.  Born in Baneliv Pidhiney, Ukraine, Sylvia was the daughter of the late Maria (Hamaniuk) and Emmanuel Bruss.  She and her husband Serge were married on   August 17, 1957.

Sylvia came to the United States as a young adult, embraced her new life here and became a proud American.  In addition, she never forgot her Ukrainian roots and passed on her traditions to her son and his family. She loved gardening, finding new recipes and baking. Her chocolate cake was a crowd favorite. She loved pets and other animals and at one time kept pet pheasants and a duck. She was homemaker supreme!

Sylvia was the beloved wife of the late Serge (he died in 2011) and loving mother of Victor, she was also the proud Grandmother of Irene and Paul.

All are invited to her funeral service beginning at 11 AM Monday at Saint Andrew Memorial Church, 280 Main Street in South Bound Brook, New Jersey. Her viewing will begin at 10 AM
