Stephan Rebensky Obituary

Stephan "Steph" John Rebensky II, a loving son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the age of 30.  Stephan was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Swenson High School.

To some he was known as "Blue Eyes" as his iridescent blue eyes and innocent smile had the ability to light up any room.  These features, paired with his boundless happy energy, made Steph the special person that he was.  His love for swimming came second only to his love for his family.  He could spend hours in the pool floating, diving and splashing.  If he wasn't swimming,  you could find Steph listening to his upbeat musical tunes while tapping away on his favorite magazine.  All in all, Steph was a kind and sweet soul who was truly loved by all.

Steph is survived by his parents, Stephan and Christine Rebensky; his sister Tatiana (Adam Hancock); his nephew Damian; he is deeply missed by his uncles and aunts: Isidore Ratycz (Kathryn); Jurij Ratych (Darka); Maria Tkach (Orest); Taras Rebensky; Ihor Rebensky; and the late Mika Tarasiuk (George & Maria).  He is also survived by his cousins: Natalia, Andrij, Larissa, Alexander, Melania, Alexander, Andrew and Kateryna.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday at 6 PM at the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home; Parastas prayers will be sung at 7 PM.  His funeral will be held on Thursday at St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Bristol, PA, with his viewing starting at 9 AM with Requiem Liturgy following at 10 AM.  Burial will follow at Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, PA.
