Myron Ivanovych Luszczak passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 16, 2018 at the age of 91.
Myron was born in the village of Rava Ruska, Ukraine to Ivan Safronovych and Anna Ivanivna Luszczak; he had two brothers: Peter and Michael and three sisters: Mary, Anna and Paranka.
Myron fled the perils of World War II and became a US citizen in 1954. He started his new life in Philadelphia and was self-employed as a hardwood floor installer and refinisher for over 60 years. He was a talented, hard worker with quite a reputation and was proud of the fact that he never once had a complaint and never had to advertise.
He was a parishioner of the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and a former resident of Ascension Manor in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.
Myron is survived by his ex-wife, Maria (Pastuch) Luszczak; his children: Myron Luszczak, Jr. and his wife Patricia, Walter Luszczak, Ann Luszczak, Roman Luszczak (ex-wife Joanne) and Michael Luszczak and his wife Carol; his grandchildren: Christopher, Kiri, Jennifer, Tiffany, Jessica, Michael and Tyler; his great-grandson Colin; and his daughter-in-law Teal, wife of his late son Peter. He is predeceased by his second wife, Irena Luszczak.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday at 9:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church. Requiem Services will be sung at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Elkins Park, PA.
Myron will be sadly missed and never forgotten, "Nasdarovya pop, first one today!"
