Myron Kuzyn, a resident of Northeast Philadelphia for many years, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018, after a short illness. He was 91.
Born in Zarichchya, Nadvirna, Ukraine, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Eudokia Bohoslawec Kuzyszyn. He met Ludmila Opolonyk in the Displaced Persons camps in Belgium and they married in Liege, Belgium in 1951. They emigrated to the United States in 1954 and settled in the Philadelphia area.
Myron was employed as a stock man at Breyer's Ice Cream for many years before retiring. Ludmila died in 1996 and Myron married Lesya Baran in 2000.
He is survived by his wife Lesya; his daughter Maria McCormick and extended family. He is predeceased by Ludmila and his grandson, Jason McCormick.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday at 9 AM at Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home. Panachida Prayers will be sung at 10 AM. Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 11 AM at Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, PA.
