Mary Hausmann died Monday, April 2, 2018, at her residence at Simpson House in Philadelphia. She was 93.
Born in Philadelphia, Mary was the daughter of the late Michael and Mildred (Cerrona) Lombardi. Mary graduated from South Philadelphia High School. Mary owned a luncheonette with her parents and after the luncheonette was sold, continued to work as a waitress for the next 50 years working at some of the finer restaurants in Philadelphia – the old Pinocchios Restaurant and Portofino’s Restaurant in Center City Philadelphia. She also worked at the Philadelphia Race Track and various hotels on The Parkway.
She is survived by her daughter Valerie Tkaczyk and her husband Michael and her granddaughters Rachel Janson (Christopher) and Alexandra; she is predeceased by her son Vincent Hausmann. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Michael Vincent and Lucas Alexander.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 9:30 AM at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. Mary's Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Elkins Park, PA.
