Martha Olynec

Martha Olynec, a resident of Philadelphia, died Monday, December 24, 2018.  Born in Stryi, Ukraine, Martha was the daughter of the late Mykola and Anna (Hawryliw) Tymkiw.  

Martha and her family emigrated to the United States in 1950 and settled in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.  She was a graduate of Murrell Dobbins Tech and was employed as a commercial loan officer for PSFS and Wells Fargo Bank before retiring.  Martha was a great mom to her two children as well as being an accomplished pianist; she enjoyed playing volleyball and her children remembered her speed at the typewriter.

Martha was the wife of the late Alexander Olynec who died in 2014 and the beloved mother of Gene and Adriana. She is also survived by her brothers: Jarema Tymkiw and his wife Diane and Slavko Tymkiw and his wife Mary.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday at 10 AM at the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home.  Requiem Services will be sung at 11 AM.  Burial will follow at Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, PA.
