Ludmyla Korsun, a longtime resident of Northeast Philadelphia, died Friday, January 10, 2020. She was 85.
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Ludmyla was the daughter of the late Trochym and Michalina (Bohinska) Udod. After immigrating to the United States after World War II, she found employment as a seamstress at Girard College where she worked until her retirement.
Predeceased by her husband, Eugene Korsun, she is survived by her daughters: Larissa Patrylak (Stephen), Elizabeth Korsun, Alla Korsun and Ludmyla Nysch (Danylo); her grandchildren: Erica Patrylak, Nicholas Patrylak, Nadia Korsun, Demetri Drobot, Alexander Drobot, Nicholas Drobot, Danylo Nysch, Larissa Lamb (Joseph), Peter Nysch and Natalia Nysch; and her great-grandchildren, JR and John Lamb.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday at 9:30 AM at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. Requiem Services will be sung at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ludmyla's memory may be made to St. Vladimir's Cathedral.
