Lorraine Humphreys Uren

Lorraine Humphreys Uren “Lori”, age 59, passed away peacefully on September 5th, 2018, in her daughter’s home in Seattle after a hard-fought battle with cancer. 

Dr. Lori Uren, PHD was born on October 6, 1958 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Earle Humphreys and Mary (Rudolph) Hortman. 

Lori graduated with a Doctorate in Counseling & Psychology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She made helping others her life’s work, through her Christian marriage & family therapy practice and leaves behind a legacy of love, hope, and healing through the people she affected. Her vibrant life, sense of humor, love for her family, and strong faith in her Lord was infectious. Lori was a resident of Oak Point, Texas, where she enjoyed peaceful lake views, wonderful friends and the community of church.

Lori is survived by her daughter Beth Dotolo and son-in-law Kevin Dotolo; grandsons Maxton & Charleston Dotolo; brother Earle Humphreys and sister Carol Coppola; step-siblings Donald Hortman and Susan Rabe; cousin Barb Landherr; Michael Uren (married); and beloved dog, Bodie. 

A private viewing will be held for close family and friends at 11 AM on Friday, September 14th, 2018, at Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home, 9529 Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, followed by a processional to a private graveside service, where Lori will be laid to rest, at her request, in her family plot at William Penn Cemetery, 13041 Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia.

A public memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, September 21st, 2018 at Let’s Start Talking Ministries, 7650 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, TX 76054, to reminisce, grieve and celebrate Lori.
