Katherine Maychuk

Katherine Maychuk passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019.  She was 88 years old.  Katherine was surrounded by her loving daughters.  

Born in Peremyshl, Ukraine on May 10, 1931, she was the daughter of Maria Filc-Kaczmar and Wasyl Filc.  She immigrated to the United States in 1949.

Katherine was the beloved wife of the late Michael Maychuk and mother of Helen Nyszczot (the late Ihor John Nyszczot) and Irene Iwaskiw-Harcar (Thomas Harcar).  She was the proud and loving grandmother  (Baba) to Michael Nyszczot (Tracy), DeAnna Belair (Jeff), Stephanie Goldthorp (Ben) and Christina Wilson (Bob); and her great-grandchildren: Ryan, Danny, Isabella, Emily and Sophia.

She is also survived by her sister Christine Corsiglia who resides in Michigan.

The family will forever love the compassion, grace and values Katherine instilled within them.  Her spirit, together with the family's memories will always be in their hearts.

Vichnaya Pamyat

Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Katherine's life at Annunciation BVM Ukrainian Catholic Church.  Her viewing will be held on Saturday at 10 AM with Requiem Liturgy celebrated at 11 AM.  Burial will follow at Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, PA.
