Jurij Dmytro Fedorijczuk, a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, godfather and friend passed away Wednesday August 15, 2018 in a tragic incident while vacationing with his family in the Dominican Republic. He was 40 years old.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jurij graduated from George Washington High School and CHI Institute. He was a long time Journeyman of Millwrights Local 219. He was devoted to his family especially his nieces and nephews; he was a life time member of Ukrainian-American Youth Organization (CYM) and enthusiastic about his many adventures on his quad and Harley-Davidson.
Jurij is survived by his parents George and Jolanta: sisters Chrystyna (Daniel Conway) with children Natalie, Nicholas (Godson) and Julia; and Stephania Kushnir (Jason) with children Arianna, Alexa (Goddaughter) and Christian. He is Grandson to Catherine Jankowski and Godfather to Ethan Iller and is also survived by uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Dmytro and Tekla Fedorijczuk and Kazimierz Jankowski.
Family, friends and coworkers are invited to pay their respects at the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home, 9529 Bustleton Avenue, on Wednesday beginning at 5 PM. Parastas will be at 7 PM. His funeral will be held Thursday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 830 N. Franklin Street, with a viewing at 8:30 AM; his Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10 AM. Burial will follow to St. Mary’s Cemetery in Elkins Park. The family asked that donations in his memory be made to Ukrainian-American Youth Organization- (memo Jurij’s Project), c/o Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home, 9529 Bustleton Ave., Phila., PA 19115 (please note on envelope "attn: Fedorijczuk Family).
